Once upon a time there was a young(ish) mum who thought it was a good idea to have two children at once. By the time she realised this was going to be hard work it was too late and the small people(charlotte and austen) began taking over her life.
She worked tirelessly to meet their every need but sometimes her efforts weren’t enough. The small people called a meeting with the mum and told her she needed to pay more attention to the fun things in life. As a treat, they said, they were giving her free rein to re-decorate their bedrooms. The mum was thrilled and wasted no time looking for cool things to transform the spaces. The small people gave her explicit instructions on what type of stuff they wanted, saying anything she put in their bedrooms had to be great quality, creative and fun design. The mum took their instructions seriously and got to work, bouncing ideas off the dad (who showed excellent dadly enthusiasm...) After months of research and some very late nights, the mum presented all the amazing stuff she’d found to the small people. The small people decided the mum had done an outstanding job and released her from some of her mumly duties. They made the dad help out and encouraged the mum to share her finds with her friends. Soon, other mums began asking where she’d got the cool stuff from and word started to spread. We keep her in check though and make sure she gets her daily dose of fun with us.
